Statement for Supporters:

Magic Lands Alliance (MLA) is a values-driven cultural initiative built through collaboration, shared purpose, and community participation.

Contributors, members, philanthropists, sponsors, and strategic partners help support truthful historical storytelling, Indigenous collaboration, education, cultural preservation, and long-term social and cultural impact.

Support directly contributes to the development of Magic Lands – Purra and Buckley’s Chance — MLA’s first international historical drama feature film project — alongside broader educational, cultural, and on-Country infrastructure initiatives connected to the project.

MLA operates through project-based initiatives combining:

  • Film and storytelling

  • Education and research

  • Cultural preservation

  • Indigenous collaboration

  • Long-term cultural infrastructure outcomes

Project 1 — Ngarram: Purra and Buckley’s Chance

The project includes:

  • Feature film production

  • Indigenous collaboration and cultural consultation

  • Traditional hut, shelter, and cave structure builds

  • Educational research and development

  • Long-term cultural infrastructure outcomes

Approximately 60% of Project 1 funding is currently under conditional agreement (May, 2026), with funding to be released once the remaining finance has been secured.

MLA is currently seeking:

  • Contributors

  • Sponsors

  • Philanthropic and impact partners

  • Strategic collaborators

to assist in finalising Project 1 financing and long-term delivery outcomes.
