Working with Traditional Owners, communities, tourism organisations, filmmakers, landholders and project partners, MLA brings together cultural knowledge, historical research, dramatic storytelling, film locations, infrastructure and digital media to create meaningful visitor experiences with a life beyond the original project.
Where appropriate, historical environments and film locations can remain as visitor destinations, educational experiences and production-ready locations for future film and television projects — creating ongoing cultural, creative and regional value.

Where Two Worlds Collide
The tourism vision begins with the landscapes and stories surrounding MLA's first major project, a period drama set early 1800s in Southern Australia.
Magic Lands: Ngarram, Where Two Worlds Collide explores the extraordinary survival story of William Buckley, Purranmurnin Tullawurnin and the profound cultural and historical changes occurring across southern Victoria during the early nineteenth century.
The project's research spans locations, communities, cultural landscapes and historical places across Victoria and Tasmania.
As the film develops, MLA is exploring how selected locations, cultural infrastructure, digital assets, and historical environments associated with the production could contribute to a broader cultural and historical visitor journey.
